Your Responsibilities

We are now looking for a new colleague at Vallastaden Nursing Home who wants to be part of our wonderful team. The position is scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends with a full-time commitment of 100%.

With us, you will work to meet the individual needs of our customers. Together with your colleagues, you are an important piece in creating a meaningful everyday life for our customers. The role of a care assistant also includes care tasks such as assistance with transfers, personal hygiene, household chores, and medical interventions.

We work based on IBIC (Individual Needs in Center) and with the individual's best interests in focus. Our work is based on national values and a salutogenic approach, where we promote health and highlight the individual's own abilities.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop as you will be assigned a contact person role for a number of customers. This means that you will participate in welcome conversations where you, together with the customer, plan support measures. You will be responsible for the customer's implementation plan and document in the Treserva system. The role also includes maintaining close contact with relatives and other partners.

Your Workplace

The Health and Care Administration provides elderly care in municipal management in Linköping. Here, there are approximately 1200 permanent employees and a large number of substitutes. Linköping Municipality has a long and well-established experience in care and support for our elderly residents.

Vallastaden Nursing Home is located in the new district of Vallastaden on Lärdomsgatan. It is a residence for individuals with dementia. The building has a total of 60 apartments spread over three floors. There is also a spa and a light therapy room. Our guests have access to a beautiful outdoor environment, including a greenhouse that can be used year-round. In our courtyard, there is a pleasant forest environment with a walking path where one can take the opportunity to balance train at the various stations around the path.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant and has previous experience working or interning in support, care, and assistance. If you have previous experience working with individuals with dementia, we see that as a positive. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of a salutogenic approach, low-arousal responses, and experience with the IBIC method.

Work in elderly care involves a lot of customer contact and documentation, which means we require you to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is beneficial if you have experience documenting in journal systems.

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward. You also work well with others and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability that allows you to understand others' perspectives and situations.
